I am completing my B.A. in art at UNC-Charlotte. This blog serves as a tool with which I may examine issues concerning current projects in progress. A blog makes sense to share my current projects while also approaching class studies as a jumping board for growth in my own art. Themes that recur in my art relate to the female body and experience, animals and their relationship to humans, food, and personal narrative.  I work in a variety of media.

Born in Huntington, West Virginia in 1974, I now reside in Charlotte, North Carolina with my family. Although art is my primary focus, I also play music locally and have a background in theater.  These both inform my visual art process.
